The program:

Tournament mode:

  • Thinking time: 3 minutes per game + 2 seconds per move
  • Duration: 90 minutes
  • Pairing according to the arena mode usual in Lichess (without the "Berserk" option)

How to participate:

  2. If you already have a Lichess account, you can submit a request to join.
  3. If you don't have a Lichess account, you can here. Sign up and then submit a membership request.
  4. Once we have confirmed your request to join, you will be able to see and participate in all upcoming tournaments in our Lichess Group.

The MAKKABI Chess Grand Prix was set up by MAKKABI Germany together with its chess trainers to entertain chess lovers even during the Corona crisis and to offer them the opportunity to compete with other chess players despite quarantine! 

The tournaments offered included the regular MAKKABI Chess Grand Prix, youth championships in blitz and rapid chess, and the Chess960 Grand Prix. The tournaments were organized with the program/website “Lichess”.
