Thursday marks the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz death camp. The football clubs and we as MAKKABI pick up on this event.

The focus of the commemoration is the participation in the #WeRemember campaign of the World Jewish Congress. We would be pleased if as many Maccabees as possible, as well as friendly clubs and associations, would take part in the campaign.
How to get involved
Print out a sign with the hashtag #WeRemember. Look for a suitable location (sporting or historical reference). Alternatively, you can also take a photo in the office. Then take a selfie.

1. In cooperation with the DFB and the "Never Again" initiative, Alon Meyer will answer questions on the DFB's Instagram channel on the topics of sport, Jewish life and the fight against anti-Semitism. 2. On the Day of Remembrance, the MAKKABI Germany Youth & Together1 will draw attention to biographies of disenfranchised athletes but also to acts of resistance against the Nazis.
3. On the same day, our “Together1” project takes part in an exciting event at the Helmholtz School in Frankfurt am Main. At the invitation of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Luis Engelhardt will speak on the subject of "Anti-Semitism in Sport".
