Our basketball U18 team met in Berlin and completed three training sessions and two friendlies. Both games were won against Oberliga teams. The team consists of former U16 players who have already played for us in Budapest and have occasionally been supplemented with new players.
As a supporting program, the team attended an Alba Berlin Euro League game and, as a bonus, they went to an Israeli restaurant on Saturday evening.
The U18s meet Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Israel, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, Turkey and the USA at the Maccabiah
Our table tennis department met on the same weekend for a course in Grenzau. Seven Juniors, six Open and three Masters players completed a total of four training sessions. They also played test matches with each other.
As a supporting program there was a yoga class in which everyone took part. They also got together for a game night.
At the Maccabiah, our table tennis department meets Colombia, England, Lithuania, Israel, Switzerland, South Africa, Venezuela, the USA and many more.
On Friday evening we started the Shabbat together with the Bracha on the Challah and the wine and of course there was a very nice Havdalah on Saturday as well
