After a long break, the Maccabees made their way to Duisburg last weekend. MAKKABI Germany had invited to a special course, the large course XXL - interdepartmental and lasting five days! With over 200 participants from 17 departments, we spent five incredible days full of sport, fun and MAKKABI spirit, in which our athletes prepare for the upcoming Maccabiah in Israel. could
The highlights were the Together1 scavenger hunt, a film evening, a meeting of the MAKKABI youth, the "Game against hate" organized by the MAKKABI Germany youth against our friends from Düsseldorf Wersten 04 and a joint Kabbalat Shabbat. In addition, our Maccabees could choose between workshops in goal ball, self-defence, black roll, nutrition, a back school, fencing and a workshop on anti-Semitism in sports.
All in all, the long weekend was the starting signal for a sporting professionalization of our departments. The countdown to the Maccabiah in Israel is on and we finally had the opportunity, after many unusual courses, to increase the training intensity and offer dedicated technical training.
