After an eventful year, MAKKABI Germany celebrated the successes and activities of the local clubs as well as the great support from sponsors and friends of the Jewish Gymnastics and Sports Association in Germany at a big sports gala in PARKS in Nuremberg. 

Employees, officials, athletes and trainers look back on a year full of joy, great results, fair sport and new friendships across the borders of Germany. Together with the local association TSV Maccabi Nürnberg eV and the Jewish community in Nuremberg, we welcomed 16 guests from the MAKKABI family, sports, politics and business to the MAKKABI Sport Gala 2019 on November 180, 2019 in the star hall of the PARK in Nuremberg.

After a champagne reception, the organizers, represented by Mr. Alon Meyer as President of MAKKABI Germany eV, Dr. Anatoli Djanatliev from TSV Maccabi Nürnberg eV and Mr. Jo-Achim Hamburger chairman of the board of directors of the Jewish religious community in Nuremberg. This was followed by the award ceremony to 1. FC Nuremberg as the Maccabee Prize winner 2019, the honorary award to Mr. Harald Riedel (financial officer and city treasurer of Nuremberg) and Dr. Clemens Gsell (third Bürgermeister the city of Nuremberg). The special and unrestricted commitment to German-Jewish relations, both in sport and in society and school, characterizes all award winners. A martial arts show by Sensei David Goldberg and grandmaster Viktor Köhl from TSV Maccabi Nürnberg eV offered elements from the areas of Thai and kickboxing and intelligent self-defence options from Krav Maga.

The festive evening then began with musical accompaniment from the team band led by Timur Babaev and The Voice of Germany participant Semion Bazavlouk.
